00A map of your practice

40 min · 4 units

Where your practice stands on the ladder, which signs show that one-to-one work has become a ceiling, what the client really gets, and where your competence ends.

Goals
  • Describe your practice by the three axes of the ladder: step, channel and event class
  • Tell apart, in your own practice, the signs of “time to step up” from the signs of “too early”
  • For each client, separate what they get from the method and what they get from their relationship with you
  • Name the signs at which a practitioner stops and refers the client on, and draw up your own referral list
  1. 00.1Where I stand on the ladder
  2. 00.2Signs of a ceiling
  3. 00.3Through the client's eyes: what they get
  4. 00.4The edge of your competence

01A method on one page

30 min · 3 units

What in your session repeats and what rests only on you; the session in steps; testing the method on two people.

Goals
  • Split your last three sessions into elements that repeat and elements that are personal
  • Describe a session in 4–7 steps, with the purpose and the time of each step
  • For each step, decide whether it holds two people at once and what to change in it
  1. 01.1What repeats and what rests on you
  2. 01.2The session in steps
  3. 01.3The test: a method for two

02Hours, price, limit

30 min · 3 units

How many client hours you really have, what an hour is worth once you count the work outside sessions, how your cycle works, and where one-to-one work ends in money and strength.

Goals
  • Work out the price of every working hour, not only of a session
  • Describe your cycle: its length, frequency, and the rules for rescheduling and cancelling
  • Find your limit of hours per week and the ceiling of income at your current price
  1. 02.1Hours and the price of an hour
  2. 02.2The cycle and regularity
  3. 02.3Where the limit is

03The first step up

40 min · 4 units

Which meeting for 2–7 people to hold first, whom to invite, how to tell your current clients, who stays one to one, and the plan of the step in “My map”.

Goals
  • Choose one of three forms of a meeting for 2–7 people that suits your method
  • Draw up a list of 2–7 people and the criteria by which you choose them
  • Tell your clients about the step so that no one feels abandoned, and decide who stays one to one
  • Put together the plan of the step with a date and record it in “My map” on the ladder
  1. 03.1Which meeting for 2 to 7
  2. 03.2Whom to invite
  3. 03.3Through the client's eyes: telling your current clients
  4. 03.4The plan and “My map”
